Welcome to MemeCare ("the App"), a virtual pet raising game companion featuring Pepe, Cheems, GigaChad, and other characters, developed by Nguyễn Kim Khánh ("we", "us", or "our").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
A. Local Data (Stored on Your Device)
MemeCare is designed to store most of your game progress locally on your device. We use Android's local SQLite/Room database to store:
- Virtual Pet Stats: Hunger, health, happiness, karma, and coin counts.
- Game Progression: Level, XP, and unlocked meme cards.
- App Settings: Preferences regarding notification schedules and overlay settings.
This data remains on your device and is not sent to our servers.
B. Device Permissions
To provide the core features of the App, we request the following permissions on your device:
- Draw Over Other Apps (
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): Used by our OverlayPetService to display the interactive floating virtual pet companion on top of other applications.
- Post Notifications (
POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send you alerts, reminders, and updates about your pet’s needs (e.g., when your pet is hungry or has completed work).
- Run Foreground Service (
FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE): Required to keep the floating pet companion running smoothly in the background.
- Receive Boot Completed (
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): Used to reschedule local alerts and alarms when your device restarts.
2. Third-Party Services We Use
We integrate several third-party SDKs to support ads, analytics, and messaging. These third parties may collect information about you in accordance with their own privacy policies.
A. Google AdMob (Advertising)
The App uses Google AdMob to display banner and rewarded ads. AdMob collects:
- Device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID).
- Approximate location (IP address).
- Ad interaction data (clicks, views).

B. Firebase (Analytics, Performance, and Messaging)
We use Firebase services (provided by Google LLC) to monitor and improve App performance and send notifications:
- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous information about how you interact with the App (e.g., screens visited, buttons clicked) to help us improve the game experience.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized crash reports, device state info, and stack traces to help us fix bugs. For debugging purposes, it may log the Firebase Cloud Messaging token.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring: Collects performance metrics to optimize loading times.
- Firebase Remote Config: Fetches configuration values (such as ad frequency parameters) dynamically.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Uses your device registration token to deliver push notifications.

C. Gemini AI / Google AI Studio (Generative AI)
The App is configured to support the Google Gemini API (via server-side or client-side connection) to generate dynamic dialogue or interactive AI responses.
- When using AI features, text prompts or context might be sent to Google's Gemini API.
- This data is processed in accordance with Google's API Terms and Privacy Policy. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into the App.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your information is only shared with:
- Service Providers: Google (for Firebase and AdMob) as described above to enable analytics, advertisements, and notification delivery.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Since your game data is stored locally:
- Resetting Game Data: You can delete all your local pet progress and unlocked cards at any time by going to the App Settings and selecting "REINICIAR VIDA" (Reset Life / Reset Game).
- Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all local game data from your device storage.
- Third-party Data: Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data are automatically deleted or anonymized by Google in accordance with their standard retention cycles.
5. Children's Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
